Donations are highly variable on a quarterly basis and are largely tied to the generosity of members of the community and the overall economic health of the region. FY20 target was adjusted to $115,225 based on the 5 year trailing average.
General monetary donations received each month of the 2nd quarter:
- 4 donations for the animal shelter totaling $5,235
- $3,200 for Christmas Tree Lighting
- $3,127.70 for the Sugar Land Legacy Foundation
- $500 for the International Arts Festival
- $50 for COVID-19 efforts.
Donations for the 1st and 2nd quarters of FY2020 totaled $128,661, or 110% of the yearly target of $115,225. With this result over 50% of the fiscal year goal, the measure was evaluated green for meeting the quarterly target.
All monetary and event sponsorship donations accepted by the City of Sugar Land, regardless of source.
A donation occurs when the City receives the funds.
