Donations are highly variable on a quarterly basis and are largely tied to the generosity of members of the community and the overall economic health of the region. The FY22 target was adjusted to $186,000 based on the 5 year trailing average.
During the 1st Quarter of FY2022, $55,367.00 in monetary donations were received. This means that we are on track to meet our annual target of $186,000.
Donations were higher than average in Q1. $22,500 was received to go towards the Christmas Tree Lighting event; the animal shelter received over $5,000 in donations; the Sugar Land Legacy Foundation received a donation of $27,690 in October of 2021.
All monetary and event sponsorship donations accepted by the City of Sugar Land, regardless of source.
A donation occurs when the City receives the funds.
